I plan to hand down my venture to another executive. I would like to see it thrive for a while and then move on to some other venture.
I have chosen this “Exit Strategy’ so that I would not be tied up in one particular venture. I would like to start several different ventures and hand them down as they succeed. I am always looking to move on to sometimes bigger and better ideas.
As I have mentioned above I am always looking to venture into different areas of business. Whether it be non-profit or for-profit type businesses. I am sure as the process moves along I to different areas it will get easier to look for and gain resources to move along the process.

Hi Dallin,
ReplyDeleteYou have an interesting perspective on business. I like that you value the ability to learn from different business in order to use that knowledge for the future. I am anxious to see what type of business you end up having. I would make sure to focus on who you hand these businesses to in order to ensure success. If you have the time check out my blog.

Dallin, I agree with your exit strategy because if you don't want to spend your life on the venture then that's the most efficient way to keep making money and working on better ideas. I also had a very similar exit strategy, however it more involved slowly transferring power to managers, and creating a hierarchy. But focusing on other ventures while yours continues to succeed is a great idea. Check out my exit strategy http://kingkion.blogspot.com/2016/04/my-exit-strategy.html
ReplyDeleteHi Dallin!
ReplyDeleteFor me, starting a new venture is one of the more stressful times of a business, but it seems like for you this is one of the exciting parts. That's great! You can also bring some of the knowledge you've gained from past ventures into your new ones. For me, I plan to become a majority shareholder of my business after about 10 years, then eventually sell my shares.
