Celebrating Failure

That would be one of the other classes I am taking this semester. I would rather not say which class it is because it is not supposed to be a hard class, but I am just not getting it. I have studied hard for both the last two exams and have not done well on either one. The only thing that is saving my grade is that there is a lot of extra credit. I have one remaining exam and I am going to double my study time as well as getting some help from others, to hopefully get the grade I will be happy with.

I have learned that I am not good at grasping all the subjects that are pertinent to my degree. I do feel bad about this being it is something I should know to further myself in the industry I am wanting to get into.

I dislike failure. I do know that it is part of growing, part of getting to know ones’ weaknesses and strengths. I also know that with constant repetition that one can better themselves in any area of ones’ life. Yes, this class has taught me to take risks and to learn from those risks either good or bad. I have learned a lot about entrepreneurship and also about myself while taking this class, and am truly thankful for it.

  1. Dallin, I admire that you are striving to become better and avoid failure. Don't be too hard on yourself, sometimes people mess up and it's okay. The good thing is that you are aware of what you need to do and you are determined on improving and doing what it takes to get the grade you want. Keep your head up and continue doing what you need to do! Check out my own post about celebrating failure at http://kingkion.blogspot.com/2016/04/celebrating-failure.html

  2. Hi Dallin, don't worry, we all go through this type of problem. Not every subject is as simple as everyone says it is. Maybe the pressure you putting onto yourself also is affecting your grade. I know when it came to me with math I would get terrible anxiety because word problems just looked like a different language to me. I'm glad you are working to improve though, also don't be afraid to reach out for help if you don't understand something. Good luck in your class, check out my fail http://carolinalafuent3003.blogspot.com/2016/04/celebrating-failure.html

  3. Hey Dallin, great post!
I really enjoyed reading your article and I felt you really expressed your message well. I too had a lot of trouble with the studying but I found that getting a calendar and writing out my weekly study schedule on Sunday helped that problem out a bit.
I would really appreciate it if you checked out my page and left a comment.
